Popular Rock Group Announces Farewell Tour With Dates in Texas, Arizona, and California

A Good Rogering is going on tour one last time, following the release of their 2022 album, 'Systematic Paralysis'.

Eclectic rock band A Good Rogering is going on a farewell tour. Currently, the band is slated to perform in Texas, Arizona, and California before they "go into late 60s Beatles mode." The popular group shared an announcement on Instagram and their website at the start of the new year.

The Last Time For Now tour will include songs from A Good Rogering's 2022 album Systematic Paralysis. In an interview with V13 Media, bassist Samuel Alvarado spoke on the message of the group's 2022 release.

"I believe the title is a mere glimpse into the world we are seeing these days," he shared. "It seems that we are constantly being coaxed into a position of fear that only the government, corporate elites, big insurance, big pharma, media, and our tech overlords can save us from."

Alvarado also showed some love for the rock community, highlighting that the genre is frequently misunderstood. "I think the rock and metal world are doing pretty great. I think this music holds a special place for a lot of people," he reflected. "Probably for many different reasons as well. Though it may not be household news (because it can look scary), the rock n' roll scene really does share a lot of love, and has a real sense of community. It would always be wonderful to see more support for artists, especially the smaller ones, and whether that comes from the internet, record labels, or even radio, it would be appreciated."

A Good Rogering takes inspiration from several bands, including Alice in Chains, Faith No More, Type O Negative, and Megadeth.

2026 Is the Year of the Farewell Rock Music Tours

In the rock music scene, A Good Rogering isn't the only group that's embarking on a farewell tour this year. Dave Mustain of the band Megadeth recently announced that 2026 will be the band's final year touring, per KONG radio. However, it seems like Mustain is planning on dragging this last hurrah out as long as he can.

"We're easily talking about touring for another three to five years," he told Kerrang. "And if we're going to be doing it for that long, then, shit, I'll be looking at the birthday I don't even want to think about [turning 70]." He also revealed that he has big dreams for the group's final show, dreams that hopefully involve a trip to outer space. "I hope we'll be playing up in space," he shared. "I think that will be a really fitting climax. And I'm not talking about on the side of a vomit comet; a gig on the moon, a full moon landing. That would be cool."

Other iconic groups like Journey, Aerosmith, and the Eagles also plan to embark on farewell tours in the new year.
