Customers who believe they have purchased any number of the affected ice creams should first check the official FDA voluntary recall notice. If their ice cream is affected, they should immediately throw it away.

The FDA has specifically urged consumers not to return the product to the stores in which they bought it. Instead, they are advising to request a voucher for a free replacement on the Straus Family Creamery's official website. They can also contact the company through their official e-mail and phone channels listed on their website.

The Company Announced No Other Products Were Affected

Luckily, the company has said only the products mentioned above are affected. As reported by ABC News, in a statement, they explained, "Food safety and product quality remain top priorities for Straus Family Creamery. The company is taking this action out of an abundance of caution and has implemented appropriate corrective actions."

They added, "The FDA has been informed of this voluntary recall, and Straus Family Creamery is working with retailers to remove the potentially affected products from shelves."

No one has been injured from the metal fragments as of yet. We're glad to hear that. We hope that this situation gets resolved soon.
