What Car Seats Are Being Recalled?
The company Graco announced in a statement released yesterday, April 13, that it is issuing a recall of its SnugRide Turn & Slide Infant Car Seat.
The car seat line was released in January. The recall was due to a "structural issue identified during a post-production laboratory test."
The seats being recalled were sold in the United States between January and March at the retailers Amazon, Babylist, Target, Walmart, and the company's website, GracoBaby.com.
"No other Graco rotating car seats are affected, including EasyTurn and Turn2M," clarified the statement. "No other SnugRide models are affected."
"We know parents rely on Graco products every day, and we understand this may create frustration and disruption for families," the statement added. "We are working quickly to support affected families and will provide a replacement product at no cost."
What Do I Do if I Have a Recalled Car Seat?
If you have one of the affected car seats, the company states that you should stop using the seat with the base.
Customers are being asked to visit Graco's website and complete the recall form. Once there, they should then provide the requested information and upload photos of the product to request a replacement. Graco will provide a replacement item at no cost, rather than a refund.
