The specific bread product that is affected is Flowers Foods, Inc.'s Nature's Own Hawaiian Bread. Its 20oz and 40oz varieties have been recalled.

The affected Hawaiian bread was sold in the following states: Arkansas; Louisiana; New Mexico; Oklahoma; and Texas.
What is Wrong With the Product?
The affected Hawaiian bread contained milk, which was not declared on the packaging. This is a severe concern for those with dairy allergies, as it could cause an adverse reaction.
The press release stated, "People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume this product." As of October 10, "no related illnesses or incidents have been reported to date".
However, symptoms of a dairy allergy can vary widely, per the Mayo Clinic. Possible symptoms include hives, wheezing, an itching or tingling feeling, or swelling of the lips, tongue or throat.
What Should I Do if My Product is Affected?
Consumers have been advised that the "affected product should be discarded". Alternatively, it can be "returned to the place of purchase for a full refund".
