Pop star Kimberly Wyatt of the Pussycat Dolls has opened up about a painful condition. As reported by People, it left her "barely able to walk" before a hip replacement alleviated her symptoms.
The 44-year-old pop star took to social media to reveal her recovery process after her surgery. An emotional post on social media chronicled her "beautiful moments".
"I haven't spoken much about this part of my story," she captioned the slideshow. "Tonight, I realised why I needed to. STILL DANCING - Beautiful Moments".
The slideshow on her post featured several photos alongside images detailing why they were important to her. One showed the surgery lines prior to her procedure, with another showing her son helping her to learn to walk again.
"I had a moment tonight," she wrote. "I'm in Dublin, settling into another hotel room, and I'd taken in too much news, too much of what's happening to women, too much casual cruelty online, too much of the stuff people seem to get away with. And a bit too much of my own little world too."
The pop star then focused on her condition. "A few years ago I could barely walk. For nearly two years I limped through every day and barely slept because of the pain. I remember watching my children playing on holiday and being in too much pain to walk over to them. I just stood there, and I was scared."

The Pop Star Had the Procedure
"Eventually I found out I needed a hip replacement. I clung to Andy Murray's story - he'd made it back to elite sport after his. Maybe I had a shot at finding my way back too."
"I had the operation and came out having to learn to walk again." She then explained how much her son, who was 4 at the time, helped her. "I look at that picture [with her son] and I don't really see the surgery. I see the strength."
She continued, "I see this tiny person instinctively knowing Mum needed looking after for a minute."
She finished her post by saying, "Maybe whatever you're carrying right now doesn't need to be solved all at once either. Sometimes the next step is enough."
We're glad her surgery and recovery went well - what an inspirational story.
