PEOPLE reports that the 92-year-old "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" singer's son, Francesco, violated a restraining order filed by Frankie and his other son, Emilio, back in April 2024.

What Happened at the Home of Frankie Valli?

Frankie's home called the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) at around 5:05 p.m. local time on Sunday. The call reported that someone had violated a restraining order stemming from a domestic dispute, according to an LAPD spokesperson.

No report was taken, and "there was no evidence of a crime," added the official.

Audio revealed that a man was "banging on the door demanding entry." After the officers and the helicopter arrived, no evidence of a crime was found. The air team left several minutes later.

Less than a minute after the helicopter left, "another call generated" at Valli's address. The reason was for a "family dispute— restraining order violation."

Why Was a Restraining Order Filed Against Frankie Valli's Son?

A representative for Valli told PEOPLE that the incident was "a private family matter, and it was resolved before the authorities arrived."

The restraining order was granted following an incident involving Frankie and Francesco two years ago.

Allegedly, Francesco attempted to break into his father's property, repeatedly threatening to "harm or kill" both Frankie and Emilio.

Emilio claimed that Francesco was struggling with an addiction to opiates. Frankie allegedly required that Francesco enter a residential drug treatment program while the singer financially supported his son.

"Since cutting off [Francesco] financially, [his] threats have escalated, as well as the sale of personal property of our father, and increased attempts to access the property of our father," said Emilio at the time.

The order prohibits Francesco from any form of contact with Frankie or Emilio. Additionally, the order bars Francesco from being within 100 yards of their homes or workplaces.
