Jeremy Steding has been a fixture of the Texas country music scene for a nearly a decade. He recently debuted his new album, Odessa, a collection of songs that Steding says are his best to date. He is currently on tour through the Lone Star State. We caught up with him and his band, The Rebellion, just as SXSW 2017 kicked into high gear.
Originally from Florida, Steding was first inspired by Texas and Oklahoma's Red Dirt music scene. He says hearing Robert Earl Keen's "Feeling Good Again" on the radio made him want to move to Texas. Shortly after the move, he quickly established himself as a talented songwriter and performer. Steding was a fixture of the Texas music scene for nearly a decade, performing alongside artists like the Turnpike Troubadours. He has since relocated to Nashville with his family, but regularly tours in Texas throughout the year.
