On Saturday, March 29, a small plane crashed into a home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, igniting a fire. Authorities believe there was only one person aboard. U.S. Bank's chief administration officer, Terry Dolan, is presumed to have died in the crash. One person inside the house was able to escape.

According to KSTP 5, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department arrived at the home at around 12:22 p.m. They had previously received reports of an aircraft crashing into it. The Brooklyn Park Fire Chief Shawn Conway detailed the events during a press conference.
"On arrival, there was a large column of smoke, Conway said. "The house was fully involved [in the fire], but there was no signs of an aircraft in or around the area. As our crews worked to put out the fire, we did see debris within the structure, that is aircraft debris."
Reportedly, the plane, a SOCOTA TBM7, departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa. It was heading to Anoka County-Blaine Aiport in Minneapolis, as per PEOPLE.
In a statement shared with BBC News, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said that they are investigating the site. Moreover, investigators began documenting the scene and examined the aircraft, expecting to remove it from the site for "further evaluation."
At the time, Governor Tim Walz addressed the incident via a short statement on X. "My team is in touch with local officials on the scene in Brooklyn Park and we are monitoring the situation closely. Grateful to the first responders answering the call," Walz wrote.
U.S. Bank Exec Believed Dead
It was said at the time that there were no survivors among the passengers aboard the plane. As per Fox 9, the FAA confirmed that there was a sole passenger aboard the plane. The person was confirmed dead. One day later, U.S. Bank officials told the outlet that they believed that executive Terry Dolan was the one inside the plane. They are currently waiting for official confirmation. However, they have addressed the incident in a statement, revealing that the plane was registered to Dolan.
"We are aware that the plane that crashed in Brooklyn Park on Saturday afternoon was registered to Terry Dolan, our vice chair and chief administration officer," the statement reads. "At this time, the medical examiner's office has not been able to confirm whether he was on board, but we believe he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and friends, and anyone who may have been affected by yesterday's tragic incident."
Reportedly, Dolan had been working for U.S. Bank since 1998. In 2023, he became the company's vice chair and chief administration officer.
U.S. Bank concluded its statement by stating that they were "grateful" that no one else was injured as a result of the crash. As per Fox 9, there was only one person inside the house at the time of the crash. However, they were able to survive the initial crash and escape the subsequent fire.
