Aaron Rodgers has become known for his provocative comments on ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show. But the QB's latest appearance caused the Pittsburgh Steelers PR department to put in some overtime hours.

What Did Aaron Rodgers Say On "The Pat McAfee Show"?
Rodgers joined McAfee yesterday, Aug. 3, from Pittsburgh Steelers training camp to talk about what is believed to be his last season.
The host asked the QB about his mindset going into this season. Rather than answer the question, he decided to rant about the former Chief Medical Advisor to the President, Anthony Fauci.
"I'm gonna plead the Fifth," Rodgers said. "Like that absolute coward Tony Fauci. Absolute coward. Are you kidding me?"
Rodgers was referencing Fauci's appearance at a congressional hearing on Wednesday, July 29. During his appearance, the doctor invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times.
It should be noted that back in 2021, Rodgers deceived the media about his vaccination status. He was also critical of Fauci and the government's response to the COVID epidemic.
Rodgers Then Goes After ESPN
Rodgers wasn't done. He then dug into McAfee's employer, ESPN, about its coverage involving journalist Dianna Russini and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Russini had worked for the sports network before taking a job with The Athletic.
"What is the network doing?" Rodgers said. "You have literally an individual that maybe used to work at ESPN that covers our league at the highest level, and there's a major scandal, and it's just like nobody can f*****g talk about it? What are we even doing here?"
Again, Rodgers' rant comes from a personal place. Back in 2021, the same year the future Hall of Famer misled reporters about his vaccination status, writer Hub Arkush said he wouldn't vote for Rodgers because of his behavior off-field.
"That's real life," Rodgers said. "How are we allowing these people to have an impact?"
As reported by PEOPLE, the Steelers released a statement regarding Rodgers' appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
Said spokesman Burt Lauten, "Discussions around culture and politics can bring differing perspectives, and our players are entitled to their own personal views. With respect to that, I am certain there are a variety of opinions on many topics within our locker room."
