The Pistol Annies, who released their new album Interstate Gospel today (Nov. 2), stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to deliver a captivating performance of "Best Years of My Life."
Ashley Monroe kicks off the tune with a stunner of an opening line "I picked a good day for a recreational Percocet/ I've got an itch to just get high," setting the scene for the song's prevailing sense of loneliness and desperation.
The song was one of the first tunes released from Interstate Gospel along with "Got My Name Changed Back" and the album's title track.
The trio recently released a riotous video for "Got My Name Changed Back," featuring a divorce party in a courthouse and a glamorous trip to the DMV.
The Pistol Annies will perform tonight (Nov. 2) at The Town Hall in New York, N.Y. On Nov. 7, the group will perform at The Novo in Los Angeles, Calif. Last week, the Pistol Annies performed a hometown show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
The group released their debut album Hell On Heels in 2011, which they followed up with 2013's Annie Up.
