A Photographer Noticed a Wardrobe Malfunction
Briones shared on her Instagram Stories that she didn't know something was wrong with the metallic olive vintage Prada gown she wore at the Emmy Awards on Monday, Sep. 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
"God bless the female photographer who was like, 'Maybe put a hand on your shoulder,'" the actress wrote over a video of herself.
"I thought she was just creative directing and I thought, slay girl boss, take control, but now I know she was trying to help me cover the fact that my dress broke right as I walked the red carpet," she added. "Period. I love women."
Two delicate drop-down black beaded designs held up the dress on either side of her chest. The left side of the dress was clearly ripped.
Some red carpet photos show the Pitt actress covering the malfunction with her hand. In other snaps taken with her cast mates, Briones placed her hair over her shoulder.
"The Pitt" Came up Big at the Emmys
The Pitt accumulated six Emmys at this year's Emmy Awards. Not only did it win for Outstanding Drama Series for the second straight year, but Noah Wyle also won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
The HBO Max drama is currently filming its third season. Wyle and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill spoke to the show's cast and crew on the set the next day.
"We wouldn't be looking at all these without everyone's contribution," said Gemmill, 63, pointing to the statuettes on set. "Everyone brings something to the table."
Wyle added, "This really is a collective achievement. Trophies are great, but look at each other and look at what we bring to this set, to this space, every day... It's holy, it's sacred. It means the world to me. I hope it means the world to you."
