A mother snapped a photo and was shocked by what it seems to have captured.
Lisa Wildgoose was taking photos of wildflowers in an English forest when she saw something she couldn't quite explain. Floating above a patch of Bluebells was a winged creature that Wildgoose had never seen before. She aimed her camera and took a picture of what appeared to be a tiny, blonde-haired woman with wings.
"As a little girl I grew up believing in fairies and Tinker Bell is my favorite film so I would love it be a real-life fairy," Wildgoose told The Mirror. "I don't know if Tinkerbell would really wear trousers but with the blonde hair and shiny shoes it's too much of a coincidence!"
The photo above shows a zoomed-in version of the picture Wildgoose took. When she showed the image to her five-year-old daughters, Mia and Madison, they exclaimed "That's not a fly Mom, that's a fairy!"
"I was really shocked and freaked out at first. I thought it was probably just a fly, which it might well be, but when the girls saw it, there was no doubt in their mind," Wildgoose explains. When asked by her daughters what she thinks about the images, she admits there's a huge part of her that would love to prove the magical creatures' existence. "They have often asked me if I believe and I always tell them I do. I suppose it's just the little girl in me that would love it to be true!"
All in all, the magic that surrounds the photo has brought joy to Wildgoose's family and to everyone who has examined it themselves. "It certainly made my day capturing the image," Wildgoose said.
It's hard to say if this photo really proves the existence of fairies, but it sure is fun to think about.
