Tom Selleck has been pictured eating McDonald's by himself in his truck on his 80th birthday on January 29. Although many may see this as a lonely sight, it was probably a moment of peace for the birthday boy.

The New York Post and other outlets obtained photos of the Blue Bloods actor ordering from a McDonald's drive-through. He then parked up and ate his meal of choice in his truck. In most cases, tucking into some fast food alone on one's birthday isn't the ideal way to celebrate.
However, Selleck has been frank about how he doesn't feel sentimental about birthdays. When talking to Parade Magazine, he said how he's "trying not to count."
The magazine asked him about his 80th birthday back in December. He said, " I stopped celebrating birthdays a while back. I intend to keep working. I'll probably have dinner with maybe my brother and my sister and Jillie, just go out to dinner, kind of be quiet and not make a big deal of it."
And it turns out, that's exactly what he did.

The Daily Mail reported that Tom Selleck was seen celebrating his dinner with his family and close friends in Thousand Oaks, California. They shared a dinner together and went their separate ways after the meal.
After consuming some greasy fast food, Selleck made sure to treat his body with some fancier food from Tuscany il Ristorante.
When leaving the restaurant, holding the hand of his wife, he appeared to be clutching a gift.
Considering his no-fuss attitude toward his own birthday, he seemed to celebrate it perfectly. A quiet meal by himself where he can enjoy his own company followed by a wonderful meal with friends and family. It seems he couldn't have wished for anything more (or less).
There has been no further news or developments on the work front for Selleck. He's previously opened up about his frustrations about Blue Bloods ending, and about his not receiving any other offers since the show ended.
Let's hope his luck turns around this year.
