FBI Warns Texans to Look out for New Phone Scam

The San Antonio FBI is advising Texans to look out for a scary new phone scam.

According to Fox7, the scammers reportedly identify them as either FBI agents, IRS agents or other government officials. Previous victims say the calls are masked to look like they are coming from 940-766-4441, which is number of the FBI office in Wichita Falls, Texas. When a person unknowingly answers the call, the scammer asks for immediate payment of fees or unpaid taxes. Of course, the FBI and most other government agencies will never call you to request money.
