The Band Perry has enlisted the help of R&B superstar and producing genius, Pharrell on their new album.
It might seem a bit odd to see Pharrell on a country album, but the R&B star certainly isn't one to pigeonhole himself. In fact, he's already gone country on The Voice. His team includes country star Meghan Linsey, the former singer of Steel Magnolia.
The Band Perry is a trio of siblings with a couple of number one hits under their collective belt. The group's 2013 release, Pioneer, featured "Better Dig Two" and "Done," and both went to the top of the country Billboard chart.
They recently announced Pharrell will help them work on material for their highly anticipated third album. However, they have not disclosed his exact role yet. Based on Pharrell's past collaborations, you can probably expect to see songwriting and producing credits on the trio's new album.
The Band Perry has had a busy 2015. They received a Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at this year's Grammy Awards and performed a cover of Glen Campbell's classic hit "Gentle on My Mind," during the award show.
