Remember the couple who made headlines when they were infamously caught cuddling at a Coldplay concert last summer? Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, both of whom were then employed by tech company Astronomer, were caught unawares on the Jumbotron (also called the kiss cam) at a Coldplay show on July 16, 2025, at Gillette Stadium in suburban Boston.

They were not pleased. He quickly ducked down, She hid her face. Each was married at the time; both were reportedly "separated from their spouses." per The Times of London.
Chris Martin Whipped up the Frenzy
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin amplified the mess when he quipped to the crowd, "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." The incident went wildly viral. There were jokes, memes, snarky one-liners, and spoofs about the embarrassed pair's predicament.
For them, however, it was no laughing matter. Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot both left their jobs. The intense backlash did not stop, however. Cabot told the outlet in December, "The harassment never ended."
Pepsi's Witty New Take on the Couple
It seems like Pepsi just could not resist using the pair as a springboard for their wacky new Super Bowl ad. It features lovable polar bears. (The lumbering white creatures have been in previous Coca-Cola pitches. Rival Pepsi borrowed them this time.)
The clever ad begins with a polar bear taking a blindfolded taste test to decide which beverage it likes better - Coke or Pepsi. The critter points excitedly at the Pepsi. Then we see it lying on a sofa in a psychiatrist's office. The mental health pro intones to the reclining bear in a lofty British accent, "Tell me about your mother."
The bear subsequently peers through the window of a restaurant. It longingly watches a group of young people enjoying themselves while chowing down and sipping Pepsis. Finally, we see it at an arena where a concert is going on. It's snuggling in the stands with a fellow polar bear. They show up on the Jumbotron, delighting the throng. (Sounds like Kristin Cabot and Andy Byron, right?) Of course, they are quaffing Pepsis. The soda slogan appears at the end - "You Deserve Taste. You Deserve Pepsi."
