Pentatonix Sang The National Anthem At An NFL Game On Xmas And I Am Bowled Over

I usually cringe when the National Anthem is performed before sports match-ups. Most singers just can't resist embroidering it with all kinds of jazzed up vocal tricks that, for me anyway, mar it nearly beyond recognition. I'm a purist, at least when it comes to this piece of historic, patriotic music. I loved Whitney Houston's rendition of the Anthem at the 1991 Super Bowl. It was mind-boggling. Well, I am very happy to report that her brilliant performance is not the only one that stands out. The a cappella singing quintet Pentatonix sang the National Anthem on Christmas before the Houston Texans - Baltimore Ravens football game at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. They absolutely nailed it.
