There's some great news for dessert lovers in Texas. The Lone Star State is home to the first pecan pie vending machine.
It's located on Highway 71, right outside of Austin. While thousands have stopped to take a selfie with Bedroll Pecan Farm's infamous 14-foot squirrel, many more have flocked to their one-of-a-kind vending machine.
According to The Houston Chronicle, the machine was first installed back in 2014 after the company began having trouble keeping up with their pie orders. Now, the 24-hour vending machine sits right in front of The Bedroll Pecan Candy & Gift Company shop.
The cheapest item in the machine is a $10 bag of beef jerky, while traditional pecan pies cost $20. If you have an especially intense craving for sweets, you can upgrade to the chocolate pecan pie for $22.
The family uses a surveillance camera so they can keep tabs on the vending machine at all times. The machine is restocked every night with fresh pies and other snacks.
