Scott explained that gave up alcohol years ago. The Parks and Rec star appeared on Jake Shane's Therapuss podcast.
"I don't drink," he revealed. "I stopped drinking, like, 12 years ago. And it wasn't like a thing — I was never a big drinker. I just kind of faded it out."
Apparently, it is impart due to wanting to be healthy and focus on his health.
"I haven't been sick in like, two years," he noted.
Scott is far from the only actor in TV land to give up the drink. Patricia Heaton revealed that she gave up drinking after playing board games with her kids.
"I couldn't pronounce the word 'tradition,'" she said. "I tried three times. My youngest son said, 'That's great, Mom. You can't even speak.'"
'Parks and Rec' Star is Sober
She's been sober for eight years now.
The actress explained, "I sent up this thought prayer, and I'm like, 'You know, God, I think I want to quit drinking. I will never be able to quit drinking. I love Maker's Mark Old Fashioneds too much. But I think you want me to quit drinking, and I'd be willing to do it, but you have to make it happen, because I can't.'"
"I'm like, 'Well, thanks for answering that prayer in record time, God,'" said Heaton with a laugh. "'You know how to make it happen.'"
"I tried a lot of NA (non-alcoholic) wines, and they were either very thin, flat, or they tasted like grape juice," Heaton said. "And so I thought, there's got to be a way to do this."
Not every actor is sober, however. Brad Pitt recently announced he fell back off the wagon.
"I was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon," he confessed in an interview. "In a more restrained manner. I got overconfident a couple times, went, Yep, nope, not good for me. Not in big quantities."
