Jacobs started the season on the Commissioner's Exempt List. Due to his being arrested in May after being accused of domestic violence by a woman.
The alleged altercation began after Jacobs' girlfriend looked through his phone. She allegedly found out that the Packers star was talking to other women. She alleged that once she saw the messages, Jacobs grabbed her arm. He then allegedly threw her to the ground in the garage, causing her to hit her head.
After returning to the field in Week 7 (October 25), three additional women came forward with similar allegations. They said they were victims of both verbal and physical abuse at the hands of the Packers star.
Packers Star Calls Allegations Against Him an "Attack"
In a statement through his lawyers, Jacobs denied all of the allegations. Calling the accusations "completely false."
"It's one of those things for me where it's like, it really feels like an attack on me. And who I am and my character," Jacobs said in a statement obtained by ESPN. "At the end of the day, there's a lot of stuff being said about me that's completely false -- like, completely made up, and it's like people just run with it. And I can't change that"
The football star also added that in the wake of the allegations against him, he is trying not to let the "negative moments" change who he is as a person.
"So its just one of those things where it's like, OK, all I can do is try to be who I am. And try not to let the negative moments change who I am," Jacobs added. "And that was the biggest thing for me throughout this whole process. I didn't want to go to a place where I felt like I was closed off. Or angry all the time because of what's going on in my life."
Since returning to the field in Week 7, Jacobs has logged 32 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown. He'll look to build on that in the Packers' next matchup against the New England Patriots.
