When we think about Ozzy Osbourne, we usually think about his classic records with Black Sabbath. "War Pigs" and "Iron Man" are timeless songs and "Paranoid" is one of my personal favorite rock songs of all time. However, in his illustrious career, we don't usually talk about his dabbling in acting. The most devoted fans might recall his appearances in Austin Powers in Goldmember or Little Nicky. However, we were apparently supposed to get the rock star in a massive franchise and it didn't pan out.

Recently, Sharon Osbourne spoke on an episode of The Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan. There, she promotes her husband's final performance for a Black Sabbath reunion show in July. Additionally, she ponders some of the decisions she's made as his manager. There's one in particular that likely would've opened Ozzy to an entirely new generation of fans and listeners. "He got offered to go and read for Pirates of the Caribbean, and I've never said this to anyone, and I said no," Sharon reveals.
Ozzy Osbourne Misses Out on Potentially Starring in Pirates of the Caribbean
It's so easy to imagine him in a full pirate garb and the same black eye shadow Johnny Depp dons as Captain Jack Sparrow. I can certainly theorize any number of potential characters Ozzy could've taken on at the time. It makes even more sense when you consider how Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones easily slotted into the franchise as Captain Teague. Osbourne makes too much sense taking over that spot. We can only imagine if Sharon had let her husband off the leash for the role.
Regardless, all Ozzy can do now is prepare for his final show. Unfortunately, he can't walk nowadays due to his battle with Parkinson's disease. But he leads with optimism, as Sharon shares his positive demeanor ahead of the show. "He's very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this," Osbourne shares. "Parkinson's is a progressive disease. It's not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body and it's affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it's ever been."
