As one side of the US freezes, the other burns. Only a month or so after the LA wildfires have been tamed, more have broken out in Carolina.

Across North and South Carolina, 175 wildfires have broken out. The South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency over the weekend. As a result, multiple communities were evacuated.
The wildfires have broken out across Carolina due to extremely dry conditions and high winds. The volatile undergrowth is highly susceptible to bursting into flames, and the winds feed it and push the fires across the landscape.
At present, the largest fire, known as the Covington Lane Fire, has scorched around 1,600 acres. The wildfire is north of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and around 30% contained, according to local fire services. However, many other areas are also currently burning across the states.
Forecast Fears That Carolina Wildfires Will Continue To Spread
At present, the fire services in Carolina are doing their best to contain the spreading wildfires. However, they have a huge task on their hands. The wildfires are located all over the state and are becoming increasingly demanding.
However, the fires are considered a natural part of the state's ecosystem, as long as they don't get out of control. Fire services must be able to keep them contained. At present, the high winds are threatening to drive them towards residential areas.
Currently, experts are keeping an eye on the various wildfires across North and South Carolina. There have been a few evacuation advisories issued, but most residents have been able to return to their homes. Wildfires in the area are not uncommon, with yearly burns being part of locals' lives.
Weather Channel meteorologist Robb Ellis said that "Wildfires are not only common in parts of the Carolinas, but are part of the natural ecosystem of the area, especially in the Sandhills and Coastal Plain. Pine forests regularly rely on wildfire for the release of seeds from pinecones and to clear vegetation for new growth."
The brave fire services are no strangers to wildfires. They are highly trained and prepared for the yearly burns. Unlike the situation with the wildfires that ravaged LA, the local government ensures they are equipped for the eventuality.
