We all like to believe that if something horrible were to happen to us that someone, somewhere would rush to our aid. However, for one woman that could not be farther from the truth. A woman claims that onlookers watched helplessly as she was stabbed in the throat on Christmas Eve.

Woman Stabbed In The Throat Received No Assistance
The NY Post shares that "Imani-Ciara Pizarro, 26, had just gotten off the 4 train around 10 p.m. and was heading to her administrative night job at the Roosevelt Hotel" when she was attacked. The assailant punched Pizarro and then plunged a knife into her throat.
She claims that none of the people around her came to her aid during her attack. Pizarro was FaceTiming with her neighbor when she noticed something strange as she exited the train. She saw blood spattered on the floor. In a matter of seconds, the attacker had punched her in the back of the head.
After punching her to the ground, the NY Post reports that the attacker, Jason Sargeant, began yelling at her "What's your problem?" Then he lunged towards her with a knife, slashing through her throat. Furthermore, the attacker made sure to kick Pizarro's phone away from her while attacking her so she could not call for help.
Unfortunately for Pizarro, there were no police in sight. Furthermore, all those around her simply froze in fear at the horror unfolding in front of them. Not one person came to her aid. Pizarro expressed her frustration after the attack, claiming that she ran to all the locations that police frequented, but she found none.
"I wish I could be able to travel to my livelihood and not be attacked." She continued, "I wish there were cops in Grand Central when I was attacked, there were none. I was running for help and there was no one there."
The Aftermath
After she was attacked, Pizarro ran and hid until her attacker fled the scene. He ran further into Grand Central screaming "I hate all of you." The only help that Pizarro received was from the neighbor who she had been FaceTiming. Her neighbor is the one who called 911 and alerted police that something was wrong. Additionally, she ran to the Roosevelt Hotel and got patched up by medical staff.
Furthermore, Pizarro was not the only victim that night. In addition to her stab wounds, a 42-year-old man was slashed in the wrists and suffered injuries even worse that Pizarro. While onlookers were of no help during the attack, they did assist police in identifying the assailant. Once identified, police arrested the man and charged him with "assault reckless endangerment, menacing, criminal possession or a weapon, harassment, and disorderly conduct."
