Olivia Newton-John has put her 2017 tour dates on hold after being diagnosed with cancer.
The 68-year-old star shared the news through a statement on her Facebook page yesterday (May 30). Earlier this year, Newton-John postponed tour dates over severe back pain. Doctors later found that pain was a result of breast cancer that has metastasized to the sacrum.
"I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia," the singer and actress said in a statement.
Newton-John was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. She went into remission just a few months later. Since then, she has become a public advocate for early cancer detection and treatment.

Although she is currently undergoing radiation, Newton-John is "confident she will be back later in the year, better than ever, to celebrate her shows."
Her now-postponed U.S. and Canadian tour was in support of her latest album LIV ON. The record was written to inspire those going through traumatic life events. It was also inspired by her own battle with cancer and the loss of her sister to brain cancer in 2013.
