Thompson Reportedly Left The House After Shooting His Daughter
Cincinnati reports that prosecutors said 'Thompson immediately left the house' after shooting his daughter. Police found Thompson walking around the neighborhood near his home, and they noted that he still had the gun and 'spots of blood on his clothes' when they reached him. Interviewers noted that he admitted to the shooting and didn't appear to show any remorse.
A report by Dayton247 reveals a video from the bond hearing. Thompson is described as having a "very nominal record, and nothing of any violence." The prosecution recommended that the judge give Thompson a $1 million bond based on the severity of the incident. The prosecutor explained the argument "apparently revolved around smoking in the house. The defendant then shot the victim multiple times and then left the house immediately after."
"If he's willing to do this to his own daughter. We are very concerned with what he will be willing to do to a stranger if he were released," the prosecution added. The judge ultimately agreed and placed Thompson on a $1 million bond.
Fox19 spoke to multiple neighbors about Thompson, and based on their descriptions, you wouldn't think he would be capable of the crimes he's accused of. A family friend, Kierra Houston, explained that she had seen many sides of the family, but this incident was something she "couldn't even have imagined." Others described the Thompson household as "a quiet family who live on a quiet street."
