It's hard to imagine anyone refusing to work with Nicolas Cage. Yet, according to the Gone In 60 Seconds star, there's a handful of A-list talent that have refused to do so. Cage believes that the reason is because he's turned down some of their projects in recent years.

Among the stars Cage noted was Christopher Nolan. In fact, Cage admitted that David O. Russell is the only director to reach out after he turned down one of his projects. The duo worked together on Madden which told the story of legendary football coach John Madden.
"Most of them, they get their feelings hurt and don't call you back," Cage said during a Q&A with the New York Times. "It's happened a million times to me."
Later in the Q&A, Cage named Paul Thomas Anderson and Woody Allen as other stars who no longer return his calls.
"They don't call me back," he claimed. "The Paul Thomas Anderson movie was a very early movie. He'd shown me a short film with Philip Baker Hall — who was in 'Hard Eight.' And we were going to do something and it didn't work out."
In fairness, Cage did give O. Russell credit for his class in reaching out for future projects.
"Anyway, David did call me, and it showed a lot of class that he would call me back and invite me again, and I didn't want to say no to him again because I have great respect for his talent."
Nicolas Cage Is Still Making Movies
According to IMDB, Nicolas Cage has 119 acting credits to his name. He has a further nine credits classed as upcoming. His latest role came as Ben Reilly in the TV Series Spider Noir. He's also become the voice of Spider Noir in the Spiderverse animated series.
Cage was recently involved in The Carpenter's Son and Gunslingers. However, his biggest roles are still in Kick Ass, Bangkok Dangerous, Gone In 60 Seconds, Face/Off, and Con Air.
There's no denying that Cage is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. Hopefully, those who aren't returning his calls see sense in the future. After all, the opportunity to work with Cage isn't something people should be turning down. He's simply too talented.
