Niall Horan Cracks Up Gwen Stefani With Spot-On Blake Shelton Impression

Niall Horan knows how to speak Oklahoman.

During his one season sitting next to Blake Shelton on The Voice, Niall Horan learned the television ropes effectively enough for Team Niall to win the series in his first try. Horan picked up something else: a fairly accurate and very hilarious fake Oklahoma accent.

While appearing Wednesday (Oct. 4) on The Jennifer Hudson Show alongside Gwen Stefani, Horan spoke highly of Shelton before breaking out his impression.

"I got on very well with Blake. I met him the day before we started shooting the [blind auditions]. We went for a drink the day before. I sat down with him for five minutes and I was like, 'This is my guy. I'm sticking with him,'" Horan said. "They put me next to him for the whole season — we had such a laugh. What you see with Blake is what you get, on camera, off camera, he's just that guy. He's just the nicest guy in the world. Loves what he loves and has a great time doing everything. He's just the best."

Hudson then asked for Horan's best Shelton impersonation.

"This my is wife, Gwen Stefani," Horan said, complete with Shelton-like gestures. "I would love for you to be on my team."

Knowing that Horan could do even better, Hudson insisted that her guest be louder to better capture the essence of Shelton.

"I love Jennifer!," Horan shouted. "You could be on my team!"

Stefani brought her own humor when talking about her constant competition against Horan for contestants.

"I lose every time because all those girls come out and are like, 'Niall ... look at his eyes. Oh my god, he's so cute!'," she said. "And then next thing you know, I'm a loser."

Season 24 of The Voice premiered on Sept. 25. The current coaches panel pairs Horan and Stefani with John Legend and Shelton's replacement, Reba McEntire.
