The NFLPA is investigating the Carolina Panthers after Nic Scourton tore his ACL on the first day of training camp. Due to how quickly Scourton suffered the injury upon returning to the team, the NFLPA believes it's worth exploring the circumstances that led to his injury.

"The first few days of training camp are supposed to ease players into things with a mandatory five-day acclimatization period that does not allow for live contact during that stretch," The New York Post writes.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers are cooperating with the NFLPA's investigation into the injury, which will keep Scourton out for the entire season.
"A team spokesperson said the #Panthers are aware of an NFLPA inquiry and they are cooperating with the PA regarding Thursday's practice, which saw Nic Scourton sustain an ACL injury," The Observer's Mike Kaye reported via X.
Head coach Dave Canales has also spoken on the NFLPA's investigation.
"We're aware that they're looking into it," Canales said, via Panthers Wire. "We have the rules, we have the standards, we let them know. All we can really do is lay the groundwork out, show the guys good examples of what it looks like and go from there."
Nic Scourton's Injury Labeled as 'Freak Accident'
Tommy Tremble, a tight end for the Panthers, has also addressed Scourton's injury, calling it a "freak accident."
"I feel so bad for the kid because he worked his butt off this offseason and I think this was gonna be his best year yet," Tremble said,
