The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been forced to delete a recent hype video. The NFL franchise posted the footage to X on Monday, July 13. However, the clip featured viral footage from a grandfather being attacked by a Bison in Yellowstone Park.

Tampa Bay's video also came with the caption, "Flipping out because it's almost football season." Of course, that was deemed to be insulting to the family of the man.

During the footage, the bison attack footage cuts to receiver Tez Johnson's touchdown flip. Of course, many thought the editing of the video was insensitive. Especially as the grandfather in question is yet to be released from the hospital. The edit was far too soon following what was a brutal attack.

ESPN reporter Jenna Laine shared her disdain for the hype video on X. She pointed out that former Buccaneers social media expert Jill Beckman would never have signed off on the footage being used.

"You know who wouldn't do something like this?"

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Have Deleted the Video

A quick search across social media will show you that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have since deleted the video. It's not on any of the team's social channels, and is unlikely to resurface until the bison footage is edited out.

TMZ Sports' executive producer, Michael Babcock, recently posted a screenshot of the footage while noting that the team had deleted the video "after a bunch of blowback from fans who thought it was in poor taste," via The New York Post.

Hopefully, this is a situation the Buccaneers' social team can learn from. After all, adding the footage was a choice, and clearly a poor one by all involved.
