Following the release of Kansas City Chiefs star Rashee Rice, reporters were keen to get a scoop on the situation. But he wasn't the most interested himself.
According to the New York Post, he put some of his NFL experience to work. He sprinted straight from the courthouse and dove into an SUV.
A video on social media shows the play by play as it happened. He first walked backward to avoid having photos being taken of the wide receiver, before he broke out into a sprint. He ran straight back into a black SUV.
It drove off without anyone being able to get any sort of comment. If nothing else, it was an effective way to get the media off his back, right?

The NFL Star Was Booked for Drugs Usage
Rashee Rice was originally arrested back last month, on May 19. He had allegedly violated his probation after testing positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
He was originally on probation in the first place following a high-speed car crash in 2024. According to ABC 7 Eyewitness News, he had been driving his Lamborghini at 119 miles per hour before he lost control. He ended up fleeing the scene.
He later pled guilty to two felony charges, which were collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury.
When he received the guilty charges back in July 2025, he released a statement. "Last March, I was involved in a high-speed accident in Dallas," he said. "There have been a lot of sleepless nights thinking about the damages that my actions caused, and I will continue working within my means to make sure that everyone impacted will be made whole."
He continued, "I urge everyone to mind the speed limit, drive safe and drive smart. Last and certainly not least, I am profoundly sorry for the physical damages to person and property. I fully apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families."
While we don't know what the NFL star might have been thinking when he dashed into that SUV, one thing is clear - he sure did show off his running prowess.
