The 24-year-old is one of seven people accused of participating in what investigators described as a "targeted armed robbery" on February 4.
Arnold turned himself in on Wednesday, June 24, and was booked into Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County, Florida.
NFL Star Faces Potential Life Sentence
Arnold has been charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery.
He is due to appear at a crucial court hearing in Tampa on Monday.
"A hearing will be held Monday morning in Tampa to determine whether Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold will be held in custody, pending his trial," ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.
"Arnold faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, which carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison if convicted. Court filings confirm Arnold has retained noted Denver attorney Harvey Steinberg to represent him in this case."
According to investigators, Arnold rented an Airbnb in Largo, Florida, where he periodically stayed with several co-defendants and others.
Authorities allege the incident took place at that property.
Three Alleged Victims Reportedly Held at Gunpoint
Investigators allege that three male victims, all in their late teens, were assaulted. They were held at gunpoint, pistol-whipped, and robbed before being ordered to leave the Airbnb.
According to investigators, personal belongings worth approximately $250,000 belonging to Arnold and others had previously been stolen from the property.
Authorities said Arnold believed two of the three victims were responsible for the theft. Although Tampa police later determined they had no involvement.
Arnold was a two-time All-American at Alabama before the Lions selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He later signed a four-year rookie contract worth $14.34 million.
He started 15 games during his rookie season. A shoulder injury then limited him to eight appearances, including seven starts, in 2025.
Arnold's agents have denied that their client was involved in the alleged crimes.
On Thursday, a judge ordered Arnold to remain in custody without bond until Monday's pretrial hearing.
