NFL Star Arrested After Attacking Car With His 3-Month-Old Inside

The NFL star had allegedly smashed the driver's side window as well as the wind shield whilst his 3-month-old was in the car.

NFL star Rashod Bateman has been arrested in Georgia. According to TMZ, the Ravens star is alleged to have smashed a car's wind shield whilst his 3-month-old child was inside.

Court documents obtained by the outlet stated that the alleged victim, the mother of the child, said to police that the incident occurred at around 6am on June 3.

The documents claim that the NFL star had used an unidentified object to smash the glass of the car. More specifically, the driver's side window and the wind shield were hit. The arrest warrant continued by explaining the smashed glass caused multiple injuries to the alleged victim.

The presiding officer noted that the alleged victim had some glass in her face when talking to her. The officer also noted that the NFL star's 3-month-old daughter was in the back seat at the time of the alleged incident.

Attorneys said that Bateman had surrendered to Walton County Sheriffs the same day of the incident. The alleged victim had signed a no-contact order against the NFL star.

However, Bateman asked the court to remove this order a few weeks later. He cited that the alleged victim had asked to have contact with him. This request was granted, with the caveat that Bateman should "not have violent contact" with her.

The judge also explained that he was allowed to see the mother of his child "after completing a class."

His NFL Team Has Released a Statement About the Arrest

Per TMZ, the Baltimore Ravens have released a statement about Bateman's arrest.

They wrote, "We are aware of the situation involving Rashod and have been in direct communication with him. We notified the league office and have been cooperating throughout the process. As this is a pending legal matter, we will not have further comment."

The NFL star's lawyer, Jordan Siev, also released a statement to the outlet. He wrote, "It is unfortunate that a personal family situation has been taken completely out of context for sensational reasons. We will let the court process play out and the facts will come out at that time."
