Victoria Jones, the daughter of Hollywood star Tommy Lee Jones, died on January 1. According to TMZ, the cause of Victoria's passing has now been released, citing 'toxic effects of cocaine.' Her death has been ruled accidental, per The San Francisco Medical Examiner.

News broke of Victoria's passing on New Year's Day. She was reportedly found dead in Fairmont, San Francisco.
"SFFD units responded to the hotel for a reported medical emergency at 2:52 AM," a spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department told TMZ at the time. "Upon arrival, paramedics conducted an assessment and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene."
Victoria had struggled with legal issues in the past. According to previous court documents obtained by The New York Post, Victoria was arrested at least three times throughout 2025.
Those three arrests included obstructing a police officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of a narcotic controlled substance. Two of those incidents occurred in Napa County, while the other took place in Santa Cruz County. She pleaded not guilty to both incidents in Napa County, per The New York Post.
Victoria was 34 at the time of her death.
Tommy Lee Jones Had Previously Sought Conservatorship Over Victoria
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Tommy Lee Jones had previously sought conservatorship over Victoria for multiple years. According to Marin County Court records, Tommy petitioned for the conservatorship on Aug. 7, 2023.
At the time of the petition, Victoria was involuntarily held at a hospital in Greenbrae, per The San Francisco Chronicle.
"Victoria Jones needed "the services provided by a drug rehabilitation facility that are not available at a hospital," Tommy Lee Jones' petition stated. "The proposed conservatee needs to recover and work towards sobriety. For these reasons, the proposed conservatee will suffer irreparable harm if her residence is not changed from a hospital to a rehab facility."
Tommy was reportedly granted the petition at the time, but then filed to have it dismissed a few months later.
