This Adorable $225K New Orleans Cottage Will Have You Dreaming of Moving to the Big Easy

From the voodoo history to the Creole cuisine, any time I visit New Orleans I'm blown away by the magic of the city (even when it's creepy). I always find myself wondering what it would be like to make the move to the Big Easy. There's so much more to the city than Bourbon Street, Jackson Square and ghost tours (even though these are definitely fun tourist attractions). This $225,000 cottage that's currently on the market in the Treme neighborhood (great location) is almost tempting enough to bring me to do it.

This Louisiana charmer takes advantage of every inch of space (despite only have 750 square feet), with plenty of storage and marble countertops to make it both practical and luxurious all at once. Located between the French Quarter (hello regular visits to the French Market) and the City Park, it's in the perfect historic location. Take a look below and start packing your bags because this charming creole cottage less than 2 miles away from the Mississippi River will not last long!

Living Room

Who doesn't love an open living room? With the white walls and hardwood floors this space has a welcoming and homey sitting area, and plenty of natural light. There's also central air-conditioning which is definitely a plus to get through NOLA's muggy summers.

Kitchen

BRB jumping on a plane now because I'm obsessed with this kitchen. The marble counters are so clean and bright and the perfect compliment to natural light peeking in through the back door.

Bedroom

Natural light is a theme in this house and the bedroom is no exception. Post up at in the nook (perfect place for a small desk) and check out the lovely view of the park across the street.

Guest Bedroom

I'm not sure how they managed to use their space so effectively but this second bedroom is equally roomy and could easily fit a queen bed. It's perfect for family and friends who will obviously be coming to visit after you send them pics of this place. (Don't worry there's street parking).

Bathroom

Give. Me. All. The. Marble. This beautiful bathroom has amazing counter space (and plenty of cabinet space for your hair dryer and other essentials), and who wouldn't want to take a shower with that window? The greenery outside this New Orleans cottage is stunning.

Backyard

How cute is this backyard? It may be tiny but it's just begging for some extra seating to set you up for private courtyard that's perfect for entertaining. If this was a vacation rental, I'd check availability immediately.
