Tinder is a dating app that makes matchmaking easier for singles looking for love. Since Tinder launched in 2012, the platform boasts over 630 million total downloads and 75 million monthly active users.

Most users seek romance, but a woman in New Jersey carried much more sinister plans for the platform.
Jaclyn Diiorio, a licensed hairdresser, was indicted Wednesday for allegedly hiring a hitman off Tinder to murder her ex-boyfriend and his teenage daughter.
Diiorio, 28, faces two counts of using interstate commerce facilities in an attempt to commission a murder-for-hire, according to the Department of Justice.
However, her plan was upended by a confidential informant, whom she had been communicating with to carry out the vengeful murder. Diiorio tried to pay the informant to kill her ex-boyfriend, Matthew O'Hanlon, a Philadelphia police officer, and his 19-year-old daughter, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleged.
From March 31 to April 3, Diiorio communicated with the would-be hitman via Tinder. There, she made it clear that she wanted her police officer ex-boyfriend and his daughter dead, Camden County prosecutors said.

Oddly enough, prosecutors allege Diiorio chose a sandwich shop to discuss the double murder plans. On March 31, she met the informant at a local Wawa.
Nearly a week later, Diiorio met the informant on April 4 at Dollar General. She is accused of handing him $500 as a down payment. The 28-year-old hairdresser allegedly promised to pay him a total of $12,000 to carry out the execution.
Diiorio was later arrested in Gloucester Township after the informant alerted local authorities.
She was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder and one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder.
If convicted, Diiorio faces up to 20 years in prison.
Diiorio is not the only woman to formulate a wild murder-for-hire plot.
In May, a Florida attorney and his social media influencer daughter were arrested in connection with a wild murder-for-hire plot targeting former Why Don't We singer, Jack Avery.
Federal investigators say attorney Francisco Gonzalez and influencer Gabriela "Gabbie" Gonzalez arranged a plan to have Avery killed over an ongoing custody battle.
Like Diiorio, Gonzalez was allegedly offering a five-figure payout to the hitman.
Gonzalez was arrested on May 18 before being transferred to Los Angeles County custody. She was booked on a felony charge, the New York Post reported.
