It's been just under a year since Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025. Following the wrestling legend's death, rumors began to swirl. Ric Flair, one of Hogan's closest friends and a wrestling legend in his own right, hinted that Hogan's death was due to "street drugs." Flair has since walked back that claim.

However, according to The Daily Mail, the police department in Clearwater, Florida, has ruled that Hogan endured "an attended natural death." They have since closed the investigation.
"Following an exhaustive review of the statements, medical records, surveillance footage from within the residence, and a visual inspection of Mr. Bollea's body, there has been no evidence to indicate the death of Terry Bollea was anything other than natural," a statement said, via The Daily Mail.
The statement then praised Hogan's family for their continued cooperation with the investigation.
"Their willingness to allow our investigators access to very personal information, at a time when they were grieving and struggling, was extremely helpful," the statement continued. "We would not have had the legal justification to obtain much of the information without their cooperation."
The investigation should now put an end to all the speculation regarding Hogan's passing and allow his family to move forward without those rumors persisting.
Hulk Hogan Suffered From Years of Professional Wrestling
For many, professional wrestling is nothing more than scripted entertainment. Because the winner is predetermined, and certain spots in a match have been coordinated ahead of time, it's not respected at the same level as other combat sports.
However, the risks wrestlers take, and the bumps, bruises, and injuries they receive, are all very real.
According to a source close to Hogan, who was also speaking with The Daily Mail, the veteran wrestler's body was paying the price for his decades of in-ring work.
"Hulk has a body ravaged by wrestling; his body is the body of a 140-year-old man with all the bumps and bruises through the years, and his recent neck and back surgeries have made it harder to come back from," the source said.
No further details have emerged from the investigation. Yet, in truth, we've learned all we need to learn.
