Neil Young & Promise of the Real's Tuesday night concert at the Whitewater Amphitheatre was one of the biggest nights the venue says they've ever had, and it was made even more special by a surprise appearance from Willie Nelson.
The show was a family affair. Young and Nelson are friends and co-founders of Farm Aid, and Promise of the Real includes Nelson's two sons Lukas and Micah.
Nelson came on stage for "Are There Any More Real Cowboys?", a duet he recorded with Young in 1985. Watch the two legends fire up the Hill Country venue in the video below.
Don't worry, we won't leave you hanging. The second song was "Okie From Muskogee," a tribute to the late Merle Haggard.
The Whitewater Amphitheatre is one of the Hill Country's most scenic venues and draws top acts from around the country. Nelson is a resident of the Texas Hill Country, but lives roughly an hour northwest of the Whitewater Amphitheatre on his Luck Ranch near Spicewood, Texas.
