Jonathan Jackson, who plays Avery Barkley on ABC's Nashville, is taking on a new venture. The actor has partnered with former General Hospital co-star Steve Burton, along with restaurateur Richard Shannon, to introduce Tennessee to its newest BBQ restaurant and music venue.
Jack and Jameson's Smokehouse will open just south of Music City in the town of Franklin. Their Twitter page labels the venue as "a family friendly restaurant" and will serve the always popular BBQ, burgers and melts.
From the buzz across social media, ownership appears to be hard at work in preparation for the grand opening.
The Tennessee establishment is keen on supporting microbreweries and will be offering more than 15-20 local brews on tap.
On the weekends, patrons will be serenaded with live music from the restaurant's stage.
Contrary to popular belief, Jack and Jameson's Smokehouse is said to be named for the owner's sons. Reference to the namesake whiskeys (that patrons are sure to enjoy on occasion) appears to be only a coincidence.
With the grand opening date still to be confirmed, the future BBQ joint is busy welcoming fans over at restaurant's official Facebook page.
Who knows, maybe even some of Nashville's finest will make an appearance when the big day arrives.
