ABC's 'Nashville' Renewed for Fourth Season

Another season full of crazy drama and great music from Nashville is heading to ABC.

Fans of the ABC drama Nashville can breathe a sigh of relief.

There will be one more season of relationship drama, and great music set in the Music City. The primetime soap follows the lives of fictional country superstar Rayna Jaymes, played by Connie Britton, and Jaymes' younger rival turned label-mate Juliette Barnes, played by Hayden Panettiere. With a strong cast of supporting characters and an endless supply of surprising storylines and great original music, the show has gained a big following since it's debut in 2012.

Even with a big cult following, the show almost didn't make it to its current third season. Fans were on the edge of their seat last summer when ABC waited until the last minute to give the show the greenlight for production on a third season - and what a season it has been.

Fans of the show have watched Rayna and Deacon finally reunite only to deal with the discovery of Deacon's liver cancer, while Juliette and Avery had a baby, got married and started to deal with everything that comes with it. Gunnar discovered he fathered a kid, only to later find out it was actually his brother's and struggled with his long-time feelings for his ex, Scarlett. Scarlett found new love with her uncle Deacon's cancer doctor, but it's pretty clear she isn't over Gunnar, which is complicated even more since they are in a band together. Oh, and did I mention Rayna's ex and current Nashville mayor is involved in a prostitution and payola scandal?

So what craziness is headed Nashville's way in season four? We'll all just have to wait and see.

The season finale of Nashville airs Wednesday, May 13 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
