'Nashville' Adds Former 'Harry Potter' Star to Season Five Cast

A new cast member has signed onto the new season of Nashville, and he might just bring a little magic along with him.

Actor Christian Coulson, who played young villain Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, has picked up a reoccurring role on the CMT series.

Coulson will play Damien George, a popular British director who will take the reins directing Gunnar Scott and Scarlett O'Connor's first video shoot. His big personality is sure to cause some tension between the happy couple as they try and fulfill the director's artistic vision.

Coulson joins Americana artist Rhiannon Giddens, pop singer Bridgit Mendler and two more new reoccurring cast members this season. With the series' move to cable comes a new artist direction from producers, who have promised more musically-inclined plot lines this time around. Let's hope that these changes and additions will have satisfied viewers tuning in for many more seasons to come.

Fans will find out when season five kicks off Thursday, Jan. 5 on CMT. Episodes will also be available to stream the following day via Hulu.
