Country music trio Runaway June's Naomi Cooke wed Martin Johnson, the lead singer of rock bands Boys Like Girls and The Night Game, over the weekend at Bald Mountain Camps Resort in Rangeley, Maine.
Cooke shared photos on Tuesday (July 13) from the "Parent Trap/Summer Camp themed wedding" of "Mr. + Mrs. Johnson" on social media.
"Over the weekend a small but [mighty] fortress of friends and family held hands in a circle around us as we turned the page into a brand new chapter of life as husband and wife," she wrote. "If words could ever be crafted to describe what love is [wedding officiant Kevin Bisch] found them and pieced them together in a way that I'm certain no one has ever done before."
Cooke's glowing description of her romantic getaway does it more justice than even the best-shot wedding photos.
"[Bald Mountain Camp Resort] is a place where the wild untamable beauty of the northern Maine lakes and mountains are captured just enough to taste, smell and hear," she wrote. "With the night calls of the Loon, the smell of camp fires, the gentle creak of screen doors, the soft murmur of star gazers and the most magnificent sunsets you'll ever lay eyes on but you are left with a knowing that you will never ever truly grasp or harness her unattainable wild spirit and beauty."
Time spent together during the pandemic confirmed that both Cooke and Johnson had met the love of their lives.
"I absolutely know we wouldn't be engaged right now," Cooke told PEOPLE. "Had the pandemic not happened, we wouldn't have had the time to really bond like we did in the last year. I just think the whole pandemic and the fact that we were off the road just sped things forward."
It was the second Runaway June wedding this year. Wayne and singer-songwriter Austin Moody's nuptials took place back in January.
Runaway June returns to the road later this summer as part of Luke Bryan's Proud to Be Right Here tour.
