Nancy Pelosi is back it following a recent health emergency. The former House Speaker appeared on the House floor with a walker following hip surgery. Despite her injury, Pelosi appeared to be in good spirits and moving around.

Honestly, she's probably around better than I would if I had hip surgery. I'm notoriously a terrible sick patient. But the internet being what it is, Pelosi drew plenty of reactions. Since she's a fairly polarizing figure, not all of those reactions were positive.

One person wrote, "Term Limits! Sheeesh!" Another wrote, "Retire." Yet another wrote, "Get them out! Looks like an old folks home."

However, Pelosi had her defenders on social media as well. One wrote, "She just had hip replacement. I can't stand her either, but if we stoop to the low levels of The View, then we're no better than they are. I'm not gonna get into the Mud Slinging Gutter. But you do you."

Another wrote, "I'm shocked she's getting around so well. Didn't she have a hip replacement?" Yet another wrote, "I hope she takes it easy and heals up quickly."

Nancy Pelosi Suffers Health Emergency

She underwent an emergency hip replacement surgery after suffering an injury while on a congressional trip to Luxembourg. Fortunately, it appears to have been a success, and Pelosi is on the mend.

"Speaker Pelosi is grateful to U.S. military staff at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and medical staff at Hospital Kirchberg for their excellent care and kindness. Speaker Pelosi is enjoying the overwhelming outpouring of prayers and well wishes and is ever determined to ensure access to quality health care for all Americans,"Ian Krager, the spokesperson, said.

Pelosi "sustained an injury during an official engagement and was admitted to the hospital for evaluation."

Krager added, "Speaker Emerita Pelosi is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals. She continues to work and regrets that she is unable to attend the remainder of the CODEL engagements to honor the courage of our servicemembers during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation's history."
