TMZ reports that the singer, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., experienced health problems on Thursday, with sources suggesting the issue was related to his heart.
Norwood, 45, was streaming from Fab Factory when the fire department and an ambulance were called to the scene.
The livestream reportedly captured paramedics treating the singer, with medical equipment attached to his chest.
Musician's Livestream Captures Medical Emergency
Norwood's mother was also reportedly on the livestream when the medical emergency unfolded.
TMZ states that sources close to the situation described the incident as involving "heart-related issues".
It was also reported that nothing suspicious is believed to have occurred, with the incident considered strictly medical.
Norwood's health scare came in the middle of a 180-day streaming subathon named Rayhab.
The singer had reportedly been "staying up for long stretches while streaming."
As of Thursday afternoon, neither Norwood nor a representative had publicly addressed the incident or provided an update on his condition.
Ray J Has Faced Multiple Health Scares
Norwood's latest hospitalization comes after several health scares over the past year.
Most recently, he was knocked out by Supa Hot Fire during an MMA fight in Las Vegas in May.
TMZ reported at the time that his heart rate slowed following the bout, resulting in him being taken to hospital. Doctors reportedly ran tests to determine whether he had suffered a concussion.
In a bizarre post-fight interview, Norwood accused his opponent of ignoring an alleged plan to rig the match.
He described the alleged move as "janky as f—-k".
In January, Norwood was hospitalized with "heart pains" and pneumonia. He later claimed that he only had months to live during a concerning social media outburst.
"2027 is definitely a wrap for me," he said during an Instagram video. "That's what they say."
"And damn, when it's all done, burn me, don't bury me."
Further details surrounding Norwood's latest hospitalization and his condition are expected to emerge in the coming days.
