A music legend is considering leaving the United States over Donald Trump. Art Garfunkel recently weighed in on his thoughts of the country.

Garfunkel spoke with The Guardian about his disdain for the current administration. He says that he is not a fan of Donald Trump.
"I don't like America's position at all," he said. "I'm not aboard, and I'm thinking of leaving the country, frankly. It's real that the planet is getting warmer, that the water's rising, that so many people are starving. When Donald Trump too over Venezuela, are those the new rules? Just take over a country and run it? It's shocking, and you think: how on earth are we gonna change the presidency?
"But Trump won't last forever," he added. "So, we've got hope."
Leaving Because Trump?
Besides Trump, Garfunkel also discussed his desite to travel and revealed there are more things that he wants to do at nearly 85.
"Sail around the world, see India and China, sing in South America," he said. "I don't wanna go into space."
The musician also weighed in on his career, including that time he worked as a math teacher for a short spell.
"I hope I come across as philosophical," he concludes. "I'm a thinker, a book reader, a walker, but mostly I'm a singer. I'm always very nervous, behind the curtain. Then I walk out and hear the applause and I flip from fear to confidence right there."
If Garfunkel leaves the country then that may put a damper on any further reunions with Paul Simon. The two last saw each other in 2025.
"That was about a year ago, and I haven't seen him in the last year," he said. "Did he speak much? How many musicians did he have? You know what I think is more interesting? Walking from western Ireland to Istanbul. But yes, we got together. Who knows what the future will bring? Life is a surprise. I don't know what happens next month. I don't know what happens after we die."
