Two years after Aerosmith canceled their farewell tour, Steven Tyler appears to be on the mend. The legendary rock group was forced to abandon its tour plans in 2024 after Tyler suffered a vocal cord injury.

"Sadly, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible," the band said in a statement at the time. "We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision — as a band of brothers — to retire from the touring stage."
We've hardly heard from the group since then.
However, it appears that's all about to change.
According to a source who spoke with Page Six, Tyler's vocal cords are in a much better spot than they were two years ago. Because of that fact, Aerosmith is reportedly gearing up to play two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.
"Aerosmith frontman's vocal cords are in "great" shape as the legendary rock band gears up for two nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles — their first full shows since scrapping their farewell tour in 2024 due to Tyler's vocal injury," Page Six reports.
Tyler, 78, will undoubtedly relish the opportunity to get back on stage. After all, he never got the chance to say a proper goodbye to his legions of fans.
Aerosmith Continue Teasing Two Shows
In a post to X on Tuesday, Oct. 6, Aerosmith continues teasing two upcoming shows, scheduled for the 29th of October and 1st of November.
Rather than confirming the upcoming gigs, the band doubled down on their previous tease, having Tyler and Ross Halfin make multiple attempts to discuss what they've missed since being away from touring. However, no confirmation of the shows was made. Still, at this point, it feels like it's rock music's worst-kept secret.
One thing is for sure, though: from the moment Aerosmith makes the official announcement, tickets will be in short supply. Thousands of fans will be willing to make the journey. After all, we don't know when, or if, we'll get the chance to see them live on stage again. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
