David Sheiner, who was most well known for starring in Murder, She Wrote, has died at the age of 98. According to Variety, he passed away on June 5 due to renal failure.
His daughter, Kate Sheiner, confirmed that he died in Los Angeles to the outlet.

He was most well known for his work on shows like Murder, She Wrote and The Odd Couple. But his first hit in his acting career was on Broadway, where he played Bellman in 1955's Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?.
Throughout his career on TV from the 50s the 80s, Sheiner worked on almost 100 shows, films and programs. Some of the most popular ones he featured on were: Perry Mason; The Twilight Zone; The Eleventh Hour; Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea; The Man from U.N.C.L.E; The Fugitive; The Big Valley; and Hawaii Five-O.
Sheiner, however, chose to take his life off-screen around the 80s. He spent the following four decades having "devoted his life to family".
According to his entry on Legacy.com, "He was Athletic, Acerbic, Pugnacious, Fiercely Loyal." It added that "You can take The Boy out of The Bronx, but you can't take The Bronx out of The Boy."
The Murder, She Wrote star is survived by several of his children. His son Andrew Sheiner, his daughter-in-law Janet Nolan Sheiner, his daughter Kate Sheiner, his son-in-law Chris Hoaglund, and his granddaughter Liv Hoaglund.

Tributes have poured in from contemporaries.
A commenter on Sheiner's Legacy page explained how Sheiner was a "father figure" to them. Bonnie Morgan explained she "first met him at the Sports Connection, a health club" where she had worked.
She continued that "he was extremely talented and his work was just amazing... Since he passed, I'm going to watch [his films] again in his honor."
Fans also noted how he was the final surviving poker player from The Odd Couple. "Sheiner was the last surviving "poker player" from "The Odd Couple" movie. All of the men from the TV series are gone..." one wrote.
