Mötley Crüe Cancels Festival Show Due to Frontman Vince Neil's Health

Mötley Crüe were one of the most iconic bands of the 80's. In a sense, the glam metal band defines what the decade is all about in hindsight. Gluttonous excess amidst all the turmoil, the only focus was "Girls, Girls, Girls." It's incredible that the band is still going strong four decades into their career. However, the band has hit something of a speed bump with their frontman Vince Neil quietly battling some health issues. Unfortunately, it's affecting fans as well.

Recently, Mötley Crüe informed their fans via Billboard that they had to cancel their performance at Boardwalk Rock festival in Ocean City, Maryland. "Vince's health comes first, and we fully support him in prioritizing his recovery," the band writes. "Please join us in wishing him well."

"We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the show and appreciate your understanding," Mötley Crüe adds. "Our friends Alice in Chains are confirmed to take our place on May 17 and we are immensely grateful to them for stepping up and bringing their awesome show to Boardwalk Rock."

Similarly, the band had to delay their Las Vegas Residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM as well. In a statement last month, Neil addresses the issue by vaguely but firmly emphasizing his health. "To all the Crüeheads who were looking forward to seeing us this spring, I'm truly sorry," Neil said on the Mötley Crüe Instagram. "My health is my top priority so I can bring you the awesome shows you deserved, and I can't wait to return to the stage. Thank you for all the well wishes that keep reaching me. Your support means more than you know."

There's still no word on what's exactly ailing Vince Neil at the moment. However, there's no word on retirement right now and they still intend on moving forward with their residency.
