The mother of a bride killed on her wedding night faced the drunk driver in court. She says how seeing the woman who took her daughter's life made her feel.

Jamie Lee Komoroski, 27, pleaded guilty in court last Monday. She expressed her sincere sorrow for her grave mistake. The judge sentenced her to 25 years in prison. The victim's mother, Lisa Miller, 60, speaks to DailyMail.com about seeing Komoroski.
She says, "I know people want me to hate her and to wish her ill, but I looked at her and I felt nothing. My daughter is gone; nothing can change that. She is a girl who made a series of bad choices, and my daughter is dead as a result." Very powerful and painful words from a mother who lost so much on such an important day.
She also told the outlet, "I'm glad she got the maximum sentence but there is no "good outcome." It won't bring my daughter back. I don't want to know anything about her from now on. You have all these choices that the prosecutor gives you about being informed but I don't want to know how she gets on, I don't want to know if she misbehaves."
"I just want to heal and every time I think I'm getting somewhere something happens to bring it all up again and I'm back to square one. This morning, I didn't want to get out of bed."
Bride Killed On Wedding Day By Drunk Driver
On April 28, 2023, Samantha Miller was getting married. Komoroski was enjoying a day of bar-hopping. She got into her car, intoxicated, and smashed into the golf cart carrying Samantha, her new husband, and others.
Komoroski was given the maximum possible sentence. She was sentenced to 25 years for Felony DUI, Death, 15 years for both counts of Felony DUI, Great Bodily Injury, and finally 10 years for Reckless Homicide. These three sentences will run concurrently, so she'll be in prison for 25 years.
Komoroski said how regretful she was of the incident. "This is the worst decision I have ever made in my life. Due to my poor decisions, a beautiful wife, sister and mother was taken...all I can say is how incredibly remorseful I am."
I hope the family of Samantha Miller can get through the intense grief this incident has thrust upon them.
