A mother from Georgia passed away from "heartbreak" mere days after her 20-year-old son was beaten to death in their home. 48-year-old Tasha Lawson died on April 13 from heart complications at a Waycross hospital. This was 11 days after her son, Tee'Andrick Lawson, was found unresponsive in his bedroom.

Mother Dies Of A Broken Heart Days After Son Was Murdered
Although doctors deemed her death to be from "natural causes," her family said she died of "sheer heartbreak." According to WTOC, the family believes Tee'Andrick's murder on April 2 was a hate crime due to his sexual orientation.
"Tee'Andrick and his mother were inseparable," said the family's GoFundMe. "Their bond was deep and unbreakable — best friends who did everything together."

They wrote that losing her son was too much for Tasha to handle, especially in the manner in which he died. "The pain of losing her son was too much for her heart to bear, and just days later, she passed away from sheer heartbreak," it wrote. "This double loss has left their family shattered, so forgive me if I don't have the proper words to say!"
Family members said two men broke into the house and brutally murdered the son. This was when Tasha was out of the house, and when her son didn't answer anyone's calls, the family began to worry. One of Tee'Andrick's brothers checked on the home and noticed nobody was coming to the door.
"He had to break through the window just to get in here and find his brother's body, which he's in totally complete shock," said Terreona Harrison, Lawson's oldest sister.
While the authorities are still investigating his death, the mother's death was easier to discern. Ware County Coroner, David Jordon, spoke to the outlet about her exact cause of death. It was "aortic dissection rupture, hypertensive, and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease."
The family is sure that Tasha's heart complications stemmed from her broken heart. She passed away Sunday night around 6 PM in a hospital. Now, they are having to handle a second death in the family after holding Tee'Andrick's funeral last Thursday.
The police have yet to make any arrests for the suspects of Tee'Andrick's murder. There's no confirmation that it had to do with the son's sexual orientation, but it could certainly play a factor.

Now that the video's been released, it seems apparent that the mom either vastly exaggerated what happened, or just lied outright.
