Anyone with children surely knows the feeling of wanting to leave them in the woods to be raised by wolves, but most are able to resist. However, one woman gave into the intrusive thoughts and abandoned her 5-year-old in a park for misbehaving.

Alize Angel Rodriguez, 20 had had enough of her 5-year-old son's behaviors and decided that he needed a time out. But, rather than making him stand in the naughty corner, she left him in a park. She was arrested for leaving the little guy wandering around Flamingo Park near Miami Beach for 20 minutes.
Onlookers say they spotted the 5-year-old wandering around, abandoned, as his mother drove away. When officers and pedestrians spoke to the little man about it, he said it was a regular occurrence. She often left him to fend for himself in parks as punishment.
I am all for the naughty corner, or a little solitude as a lesson, but parks are not safe places for a 5-year-old to be abandoned. There's a lot of danger out there for the young man.
Mother Charged For Leaving Little Man In Park Alone
The mother was quickly found and returned to the park. She was reportedly suspected of being under the influence. As she approached the park, bystanders noted that she had thrown her purse away, into a bush. On its recovery, it was found to contain marijuana and multiple prescription drugs. She denied being under the influence.
The abandoned 5-year-old has since been taken into care while Alize Angel Rodriguez awaits trial. He will be staying with his grandmother until the whole situation gets sorted.
At her first hearing, she began to speak, but the judge cut her off. She said "You don't have to say anything. You've got a good lawyer - let him do the talking."
Rodiguez's lawyer requested a low and reasonable bail so that she could be back with her son. However, this backfired. "She ain't gonna be with her son. I'm entering a stay-away order to be sent to DCF," the judge told them.
The mother is now paying the price for leaving her 5-year-old abandoned in a park, left to fend for himself.
